MeasureProof publishes UK English notes on workshop checks of 0–25 mm outside micrometers and digital calipers against gauge blocks. The notes are for small machine shops, model engineers and incoming inspection.
These pages are source-based explanations. External authors’ measurements were not performed for this publication. MeasureProof is not a certification body or an accredited calibration laboratory.

Articles are attributed to MeasureProof. The attribution names the publication, not a named metrologist or an accredited laboratory.

Where the evidence comes from
The notes link original workshop publications, manufacturer documentation and official UK guidance, and the different role of each source stays visible. The methods page sets out what is required before a result is called an original test.
